Tips to Glide Thru Your Transaction
Advanced Purchase Information

E-commerce is relatively new for Royal Gorge and our guests, so please take the time to review the information below to ensure your transaction is smooth and easy.

Important Notes:

  • You will be shopping on our sister resort’s website, shop.sugarbowl.com, but within the Royal Gorge category.
  • We require purchasing trail passes online at least one day prior to your arrival. There will be no opportunity to purchase lift tickets at Royal Gorge on the day of your visit. Limited quantity available each day. If trail passes are not available for a particular day, please check back. We will adjust inventory levels frequently. Only full-day lift tickets are offered this season; half-day tickets are not available.
  • Rentals and lessons must be purchased at least one day in advance to allow for our team to prepare for your arrival.
  • There are a limited number of rental and lesson time-slots available. If rentals and/or lessons are necessary for your visit, do not purchase a trail pass for that date if you have not confirmed rentals and/or lessons are available for the same date. Refunds will not be provided if you purchase a trail pass but a rental/lesson is not available
  • Please purchase all items needed (trail passes, rentals, lessons) in one transaction.
    Once an item is added to your cart that inventory is “locked” for you to purchase so no others can take the slot. The lock expires after 10 minutes or when you complete your purchase.

 

 


How to Buy Each Product Type:

Trail Passes

  • Step 1: Select the participant’s age group.
  • Step 2: Select the participant’s visit date.
  • Step 4: Select the quantity needed. Remember, you are selecting quantity for that age group. After you add to your cart, you can select for another age group if needed.
  • Step 5: Add to Cart, then add more group members as needed or review your cart and continue to checkout. Please ensure you have the correct dates.

 

 


Rentals
How to Book Your Rentals

  • Step 1: Select the rental participant’s age group.
  • Step 2: Select the rental participant’s visit date.
  • Step 3: Select your rental fitting time. This is necessary to control capacity in the rental shop at any given time. If there is not enough space during a time block to accommodate your entire group, please select another time/date.
  • Step 4: Select the quantity needed. Remember, you are selecting quantity for that age group. After you add to your cart, you can select for another age group if needed.
  • Step 5: Add to Cart, then add more group members as needed or review your cart and continue to checkout. Please ensure you have the correct dates.

Packages include classic or skateski rentals, boots and poles. Trail pass is not included and sold separately. Credit/debit/gift card only; no cash accepted.

A parent/guardian must accompany a renter under the age of 18 into the rental shop. One adult per underage renter will be allowed entry into the shop; other non-renting guests must remain outside.

Rates are subject to change. Once purchased you will be emailed a confirmation which can be taken to Summit Station Lodge at Royal Gorge for redemption on the date(s) selected. Rentals and trail passes may be picked-up at the same location.

 

 


Lessons

How to Book Your Private Lesson Package
  • Step 1: Select the lesson participant’s age group.
  • Step 2: Select the lesson participant’s visit date.
  • Step 3: Once you have completed your transaction, a Ski School specialist will reach out to coordinate your lesson time, discipline (classic or skate) and rental fitting appointment (if necessary).
  • Step 4: Add to Cart, then add more group members as needed or review your cart and continue to checkout. Please ensure you have the correct dates. Remember a trail passes not included with the lesson, and must be purchase separately unless you have a season pass or other access product.
    Credit/debit/gift card only; no cash accepted.

Cancellation Policy

All purchases are final. Due to limited capacity, there are absolutely no returns, refunds, and products may not be transferred to another person or date. Please confirm your dates prior to completing your transaction. All trail passes are subject to restrictions described in the product description and/or pickup instructions. Your credit card will be charged for the amount shown, regardless of whether or not the purchased trail pass(es) is/are used. We do not guarantee driving conditions, snow conditions, weather conditions, open terrain or number of kilometers.

Stay Home if You Are Sick
Stay home if you or anyone in your household are sick. We will provide a one-time date-change if notified, in writing, that you or anyone in your household shows flu-like symptoms before your arrival. Notification must be made within 14 days prior to your arrival and up until 9:00 am PST the day of your arrival. No exceptions will be made for notifications made after 9:00 am PST on the day of your arrival.

To notify and begin the date-change process, submit your request to sugarbowl.com/customercare. Date-change submissions require 7 days to process and to allow for illness recovery, so guests may not shift to another date within the 7 day period following notification.

Resort Closure Refund
If the resort is closed on the date of your arrival due to weather or a closure related to COVID-19, your purchase will be refunded in full. Refunds will be applied back to the card used at the time of purchase. Resort Closure Refund does not apply if the resort is open in a reduced capacity due to wind & weather. Resort Closure Refund does not apply if guests are unable to visit due to road conditions or chain controls.
