Tips to Glide Thru Your Transaction
Advanced Purchase Information

E-commerce is new for Royal Gorge and our guests, so please take the time to review the information below to ensure your transaction is smooth and easy.

Important Notes:

  • You will be shopping on our sister resort’s website, shop.sugarbowl.com, but within the Royal Gorge category.
  • Trail passes must be purchased online at least one day prior to your arrival
  • Rentals and lessons must be purchased at least two days in advance to allow for our team to prepare for your arrival.
  • There are a very limited number of rental and lesson time-slots available. If rentals and/or lessons are necessary for your visit, do not purchase a trail pass for that date, if you have not confirmed rentals and/or lessons are available for the same date. Refunds will not be provided if you purchase a trail pass but a rental/lesson is not available
  • Guests should purchase all items needed (trail passes, rentals, lessons) in one transaction.
Once an item is added to your cart that inventory is “locked” for you to purchase so no others can take the slot. The lock expires after 10 minutes or when you complete your purchase.

Regional Stay at Home Order
On December 1, we received official guidance from the state that classifies ski resorts as outdoor recreation. Since outdoor recreation providers are permitted to continue operating during the Stay at Home Order period, Sugar Bowl | Royal Gorge intends to continue operating – conditions allowing – as we maintain our top priority of protecting the health and safety of our guests, staff and community. We are being evaluated every day against state & county guidance and will need everyone’s full cooperation and adherence to our policies to remain open.

Our understanding is that the current, non-essential travel restriction does not apply when the regional (same-day / non-overnight) travel purpose is to participate in approved activities. Outdoor recreation is one of those approved activities, and Governor Newsom specifically mentioned the important mental and physical benefits of skiing and snowboarding during his Stay at Home Order announcement.

Customers should be aware of all applicable travel restrictions before purchasing non-refundable, non-changeable and non-transferable products.
