Looking for a job that lets you work where you play? At Sugar Bowl Resort on Donner Summit, you’ll find more than a paycheck—you’ll find a legacy. Since 1939, Sugar Bowl has been one of Tahoe’s most iconic ski resorts, blending big-mountain adventure with small-town charm. From California’s first chairlift to today’s world-class terrain, we’ve been delivering the stoke for over 80 years—and the story continues with every guest and employee who calls this mountain home.

A Tahoe Ski Resort with History

Sugar Bowl Resort was founded in 1939 by Austrian ski champion Hannes Schroll, with a little help from Walt Disney himself. Together, they created a resort unlike any other—introducing the first chairlift in California and bringing European ski culture to the Sierra Nevada. The Bavarian-style lodges, thrilling terrain, and welcoming vibe quickly made Sugar Bowl a favorite for skiers and riders from near and far.

Working here means becoming part of a community that values mountain adventure, excellent guest service, and the unique history of Sugar Bowl. Whether you’re helping families at the lodge, maintaining trails, or teaching lessons, you’re carrying forward a tradition of stoke that started in 1939.

Sugar Bowl offers more than just seasonal ski resort jobs—we offer careers that grow with the mountain. With full-time, part-time, indoor and outdoor positions available, there’s a place for everyone to join the story.
