The Inside Track
The weather is going to be "rinse and repeat" until Thursday - 50 degrees and sunny. It's basically April out there. 46km of trails this morning - we will try to expand on that slightly for Wednesday. Summit Connection is in rough shape, but we want to leave it open for everyone to be able to cross Soda Springs Road. The best skiing remains on/around Bogus Basin area.
Do your snow dances for next week!
As expected, we have had to close numerous trails due to lack of snow. Mirkwood, Snow Mtn, Sterlings Canyon, Pt Mariah, and Reindeer have closed. We have added back Thor's and Jack's Jump. Stay tuned as we may be able to add a trail out toward Kidd Lake later this week.
Van Norden Update: While we can no longer groom in the meadow due to running water, we were able to groom Bill Patterson West, which bisects the meadow near the trailhead. We have opened TELEGRAPH ONLY on the South side of the meadow for dog use. This will allow skiers with dogs to ski across the meadow, down Telegraph, and access the open dog trails on the East of the Meadow. Summit Crossing, Lincoln Highway, Sheep Pen, etc. We are not grooming a small section of Sheep Pen from the hut to the bridge due to running water. But skiers can easily cross. Please enjoy the available dog trails, we are working very hard to keep them open!
