The proper heatwave begins today! Bring your sunscreen as we won't see a cloud in the sky until Saturday. We are snowcat grooming all open trails East of Soda Springs road (Bogus Basin, Switchback, Razorback, Claim Jumper, etc) and snowmobile grooming all trails on the West side of the road (Palisade, Maintenance Road, Big Ben, James Joy, etc). There simply isn't enough base depth to put a snowcat on those trails. You will notice some very large piles of snow out there - yes, we are plowing up closed trails to use the snow open terrain and extending our season as long as we can!
Important Trail Update: Maintenance Road is now a ONE WAY - UPHILL ONLY. Coverage is very thin and there is not enough trail width for 2 way traffic.
Important Operations Update: We will not be offering lessons Monday through Friday this week.
Conditions:We still have excellent skiing out of Summit Station, and across the road toward Sugar Bowl. Bogus Basin and Razorback continue to be the best skiing on the summit, but you will have to take your skis off for a short walk to cross Soda Springs Road on Summit Connection.
Van Norden trailhead is closed for the season. With temperatures in the upper 50's this weekend and upper 60's next week, we will lose terrain very quickly. Check back daily for trail status as the weather will dictate how long and what trails remain open.
NOTICE: The number of trails/KM marked open and/or groomed may not be accurate on this page. For a detailed view of what trails have been groomed and at what time, please use our interactive map: Interactive Map
