INTERCONNECT TRAILS
Royal Gorge is proud to offer a variety of challenging Inn-to-Inn Trails throughout its track system.
Ice Lakes Lodge Interconnect
A 7km roundtrip. Ski the loop from Summit Station via Big Ben and Reindeer to Ice Lakes Lodge. A great stop for lunch or to take a break and warm yourself in our Guests' lounge by the double-sided, ceiling-high fireplace. Return to Summit Station via Reindeer, Switchback and Summit Connection.
Sugar Bowl Interconnect
Those looking for variety in their day can ski to the Sugar Bowl Ski Area via Royal Gorge's groomed trails. The alpine resort with day cafe is connected to Summit Station by the Van Norden track system and the two-way Sugar Bowl Interconnect. Those looking for a scenic, more difficult route can access the Interconnect after circling around the Ice Lakes track system (via Reindeer, Sunnyside, Sterling's Canyon and Bogus Basin and Nose Diveto the Sugar Bowl Interconnect). An easier, more direct route from Summit Station takes skiers via Summit Connection to any number of the Lake Van Norden trails. After resting, the return trip is your choice. We request that you finish skiing and be back at Summit Station by 4:30pm.
